DeMo Artist Talk: artist Marija Marković

We are excited to continue our Artist in Residence program with our second visiting artist from Serbia!

Marija Marković is a transdisciplinary artist, co-creator, and art director of Fragment Inc. as well as co-founder and activist of the informal non-profit organization “Zeleni talas”.

Marija Marković uses a variety of elements in her creative practice, from graphic and video works to art installations. In them, the artist often explores how people are influenced by their own norms and environment.

During her Artist Talk at Robertas Antinis Sculpture park, she will present projects she has been working on for the last 5 years. The installation “Carpet” deals with invisible female labor. The work “Dokolica” analyzes the relationship between work and “non-work” time in a currently restructured Serbian socio-economic system. And finally, “A guide to breathing”, whose segments you will be able to see at the BLC center on the 29-30th of June.
