For the third time in a row Putvinsko Street Day will invite you to dive into a one day festival on May 25th, 2019. The program will fill the street with cultural and educational activities, unexpected community initiatives and new encounters with neighbours, while beautiful courtyards, terraces and stairways, as well as amazing interiors, usually hidden to the public eye, will welcome Kaunasians and Kaunas city guests.

Continuing this tradition, Kaunas Artists’ House (KAH) openly invites to create this day together and announces an open call:
1) For Putvinskio street day programme – we call for institutions, initiatives, residents and friends of V. Putvinskio street to suggest activities for the programme;
2) For available spaces in V. Putvinskis street and close around – we call to open the doors of your institution, home or courtyard for parts of the programme;

[column_break]When selecting the programme, we will prioritise the following:

* activities related to V. Putvinskio street (prev. known as Kalnų (Hill), Gornaja, Bergstrasse, Salomėjos Nėries street) memories and history;
* activities related to with the celebration of the Temporary Capital commemorative year;
* community-based initiatives;
* educational events (lectures, workshops, discussions, tours);
* creative and artistic projects (visual arts, performances, readings, concerts);

[column_break]We are also excited to hear from those who have SPACES that would be willing to host the programme, both from organisations and individuals. Maybe you’ve got:

* a hall or a different kind of space suitable for workshops and lectures;
* a courtyard, terrace or balcony that offers a view of V. Putvinskio street panorama;
* a captivating landing, stairwell or a flat that you would be willing to open up to the street festival’s participants or programme activities – even if for a short while!
* a fascinating route or passage connecting V. Putvinskio street with its neighbouring streets;
* another kind of unexpected space that would enrich the festival’s geography.
