From 24th to 27th of February, Kaunas Artists’ House Culture Infocentre will participate in the Vilnius Book Fair (stand no. 3.40).

Presentation of the publication

On the 24th of February at 6 p.m. presentation of the publication “Žodžiai-pa-trankos” will take place in conference hall 1.2. It will be presented by authors Asta Volungė and Jovaras Kelpšas. The presentation will take place in the Lithuanian language. Participants can expect a discussion about literature as a tool of non-formal education.

Asta Volungė, the curator of Kaunas Artists’ House, says that “without the aim of shocking or annoying the guardians of the language, but also without fear that it will happen, we aim to provide instructions for the use of words that come from everyday life. With the daily dirt, the sorrows, and without the poetic anxiety at all, but also with the hope that sometimes arises not from looking at the clouds, but from smelling the sweat of a stranger”.

In the publication, you will find instructions for the use of words and the best texts read on the slam poetry scene in the last few years. The posters of Kaunas Artists’ House became the illustrations of the publication, so you will have to shake your head in every sense while reading the book.
