KAH Cultural infocentre at Vilnius Book Fair

On February 24-27, Kaunas Artists’ House will participate in the Vilnius Book Fair (stand no. 3.40).

Upon arrival you will get acquainted with the spectrum of Kaunas culture: Kaunas cultural events calendar kultura.kaunas.lt; Kaunas dictionary; the latest and archival issues and yearbooks of “Kaunas Full Culture”, which tell various aspects of Kaunas cultural life: personalities, initiatives, modernist architecture, cultural phenomena, and their initiators; Kaunastic cultural routes to help discover the city’s places and stories; information from cultural operators of various scopes and themes conveying the cultural movements of the city; postcards presenting the activities of Kaunas Artists’ House.

On February 24th at 6 p.m. at conference Room 1.2. the presentation of the first publication „Žodžiai-pa-trankos“ published by Kaunas Artists’ House will take place. The publication will be presented by its authors and compilers – Asta Volungė and Jovaras Kelpšas. They will present spoken word poetry as a genre and as a method of literature education. You will also hear examples of this genre – the works of the authors published in the publication and you will be able to try out creative exercises yourself. The presentation will take place in Lithuanian language.
