Putvinskio Street Day 2021 | Fantasarium
2021-05-22/12:00 - 18:00
You are no longer amazed at how spring mixes with curtsies of hail? After receiving a creative assignment, you stare blankly at an empty page on your LCD screen and delete every word as soon as you type it? You are no longer happy with daily walks to the store or a careful walk around the increasingly busy outdoor cafes? Your reserves of imagination are exponentially approaching a critical threshold?
Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Studies show that a prolonged pandemic/quarantine/vaccination has a negative effect on people’s imagination and creativity.
But we have a solution! We offer your imagination a ticket to the fantasarium of Putvinskio Street.
What is it?
It is a one-day interactive street game, a journey through time between the impressive stages of V. Putvinskio Street’s past, the ambitious becoming of the present, and the colorful prophecies of future scenarios.
Take the opportunity to skate on the ice while waiting for the funicular just before the official start of the summer, visit the Vatican Embassy for a day, and… maybe find out what awaits the Putvinskio Street after 50 years.
The course of the game:
The Putvinskio Street fantasarium game will take place on May 22 from noon to 6 p.m. The game is open to anyone aged 0 to 99, who wants to exercise their imagination.
You can start the game at any time, but all the tasks must be completed by 6 p.m. Only registered participants take part in the game. You can register on May 22 at the Culture Information Center located in Kaunas Artists’ House, where participants will also be introduced to the rules of the game and will receive task cards.
Tasks about the history, personalities, architecture, and curiosities of V. Putvinskio Street will be hidden all over the street, and the participants that will have completed them will receive prizes.
*Putvinskio Street Day game should be entered by people, who do not have signs of upper respiratory diseases. During the game, please follow the general instructions for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
