The aim of the cycle “Insomnia Salon” is to expand the context of insomnia by exploring various cultural phenomena related to sleepless nights and sleep disorders. To what extent is insomnia associated today with creative processes? Maybe today it is more related to anxiety, insecurity, nightmares, exhaustion, or general boredom? All issues related to insomnia, sleep disorders and their symptoms will be explored in the salon, referring to the room where guests are either formally received, or a group of people is gathered to discuss the issues of politics, art, and literature.
The first part of the series will consist of events considering insomnia as a creative process related to Lithuanian art movements, small stories of artists, their groups, the analysis of night city cultural phenomena, and forms of active leisure forms.
