On 21st July in Kaunas Artists’ House a creative one day workshop will be held based on theatre, conceptual clownery and improvisation methods where being in trouble is A GIFT. We will be learning how to be a loser and appreciate mistakes because this is the beautiful way to become completely free on stage and on the stage of life.

In 3 hours participants will learn the principles of game philosophy and search answers to questions such as why being in trouble is a gift, how to enjoy just being and what is the difference between being a boring “pharmacist” and joyful and attractive artist?
Workshops are for everyone – professional and unprofessional artists, performers wannabe or for those who are just trying to find their freedom in being unperfect.

Workshops will be led by contemporary circus artist Marija Baranauskaite. After graduating from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Marija studied clownery at École Philippe Gaulier in France and at Internatonal School of Theatre LASSAAD’ in Brussels. AHaving worked and performed with international directors and creators, Marija has decided to explore her own path of creativity and for the last two years she has been researching and questioning the relations between humans and sofa in her solo work “The Sofa Project”.
